FROM Jackton Boys Club in Scotland to my current post with North Toronto Nitros in Canada coaching soccer has been a journey to savour.
This coaching CV details the last decade, from winning the SFA Challenge Cup with both East Kilbride FC and BSC Glasgow in the Scottish Lowland League to taking over as CEO at League One Airdrieonians.
It has been a story of development, from leading the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA) West Region to the Copenhagen Cup to working with professional Academy players at Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.
The journalism CV charts a career that started off with cattle shows and council meetings at the Carluke and Lanark Gazette in Scotland.
It would come to feature covering two World Cups and two European Championships, writing six books and winning three successive Scottish Sports News Writer of the Year awards.
